When a regular appointment is not the right fit
Some kids climb into the chair and that is that. Others cannot, and it usually is not about behavior. Extreme fear of dental procedures, a previous appointment that went badly, special needs that make it hard to hold still, a very young age, or a treatment that is going to take a while all point toward the same conclusion: a plain appointment is going to be a fight for everyone, and the fight itself is not good for the child.
